TEXPO has successfully participated at GITEX 2011 in Dubai this year. The GITEX Technology Week, held from October 18-22 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The focus of this year's GITEX Technology Week was to provide all-encompassing exposure to business opportunities throughout the region. It has also offered advanced ICT platform to source business and shared industry best practice.
Compared to the previous edition in 2010, the last “GITEX–2010”, has recorded a huge increase in the number of visitors, which in any case were more than 10,000 thus clearly exceeding expectations in the sector and showing some recovery after the global financial and economic crisis. TEXPO has showcase new concepts of the work collaboration in shape of AL SHARYAN- a portal developed on Microsoft SharePoint 2010 for Medium to a Large Enterprises. TEXPO has also displayed its suite of solutions and used the opportunity to convey its strength to its clients and various visitors travelling from more than 100 countries. The largest group came from G.C.C countries, but also from China while the number of people from Europe remained mostly noticeable. TEXPO have then made a significant volume of contacts and were satisfied with the results from their participation in this edition.
Under the Microsoft stand TEXPO participated in the most premium spot at the Business Solutions Hall right next to the entrance. TEXPO was in Booth 4A in the Microsoft stand where TEXPO executives and technical team delivered quality & productive dialogue to our guests and visitors. During the 5-day event TEXPO executives and technical team shared their capabilities in the developments of the application on SharePoint Portal & Collaboration. They also demonstrated the development of bespoke applications, server virtualization and collaboration skills, development of mobile applications and display of a comprehensive HR solution on a “.Net” platform along with Data Centre Services and Audit. TEXPO team also shared their experience of evaluating the performance of the eServices of different Dubai Government departments and the application which TEXPO has purpose built.
Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al-Merri, Director General of Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) met Dr. Sarfaraz Alam, CEO TEXPO in GITEX exhibition, whereas Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander in chief of Dubai Police at GITEX Dubai 2011 also visited GITEX exhibition and met Dr. Sarfaraz Alam. Mr. Haider Salloum, Small & Medium Solutions & Partners Manager of Microsoft also visited TEXPO stand and met Dr. Sarfaraz Alam while Dr. Alam discussed the outcomes of TEXPO's Annual Sales Conference during GITEX 2011.
During the exhibition, Mr. Zeeshan Qureshi, Vice President - Application Development of TEXPO also addressed the audience at Microsoft about TEXPO "Electronic Document and Records Management System (Al-Sharyan)" at GITEX 2011.
