Enterprise Architecture Strategy

Regardless of what you decide to use as your EA framework we will capture the following domains of EA into a repository:

Business Architecture:

Business Architecture is the part of an enterprise architecture related to architectural organisation of the business, and the documents and diagrams that describe the organisation in the form of value chain, business models and business processes.

Information Architecture:

Information architecture (IA) is the art of expressing a model or concept of information used in activities that require explicit details of complex systems. Some of these activities include content management systems, web development, user interactions, database development and critical system software design.

Application Architecture:

Application Architecture is one of the architecture domains that form the pillars of an enterprise architecture or solution architecture. It is the science and art of ensuring the suite of applications being used by an organisation to create the composite application is scalable, reliable, available and manageable.

Technology Architecture:

The Technology Architecture seeks to map application components defined in the Application Architecture phase into a set of technology components, which represent software and hardware components, available from the market or configured within the organisation into technology platforms.

Security Architecture:

The Security Architecture describes how the security controls (security countermeasures) are positioned and how they relate to the overall IT Architecture. These controls serve the purpose to maintain the system’s quality attributes including confidentiality, integrity and availability.
